Tibetan activists took their protest against Chinese President Xi Jinping to the streets of Delhi during the BRICS Summit. More than 50 members of the Tibetan Youth Congress were detained by Delhi Police while protesting during Xi Jinping’s visit for the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi. Protesters raised slogans including “Free Tibet” and demonstrated against Chinese policies in Tibet. Earlier demonstrations had also taken place around Majnu Ka Tila and near the Bharat Mandapam/Pragati Maidan summit area.
