Silverchair Was Barely 17 Doing This on Stage Paranoid (Black Sabbath Cover) – Silverchair (1997, Live at Pinkpop) In 1997, Silverchair played the Pinkpop Festival in the Netherlands. Daniel Johns was just 17. By that point, they had already released Frogstomp and Freak Show, and were performing on major stages across Europe. During their set, they included a cover of Black Sabbath’s Paranoid. It wasn’t perfect, but it was loud and direct.
