A tailslide 270 is a fun butter trick that builds style and sets you up for more advanced jib tricks.
Start with a frontside tail butter out to switch. Then add the 270 on the way out to bring it back to your regular stance.
Think about nollieing into the tail butter, letting your upper body continue to rotate, then popping off the tail and counter-rotating the 270 out.
It should feel similar to a frontside 360, just with the tail butter added in the middle.

Backside 180s out are all about timing and upper body control.
Start with a solid 50-50, then around 70% down the rail begin closing your upper body to set up the rotation.
As you come off the end, your upper body should be close to 90° with your head still focused toward the end of the feature.
Use counter rotation, engage your toe edge, hold the blind landing and ride it out clean.

Too many setup turns 🔀 before a jump or box will throw off your balance
Keep it simple ✈️ Let gravity line it up

Backside vs Frontside 50-50.
Both tricks share the same fundamentals, but backside 50-50s come with one big challenge. You approach the feature on your heel edge, which creates a more blind and less comfortable entry.
Because it’s harder to get your weight directly over the rail, backside 50-50s usually require a bit more angle and pop to get on cleanly.
One key skill is learning to catch the rail. This means using your board to stop your sideways momentum and lock into the feature, something you’ll see all pro snowboarders do.

Wall rides feel impossible… until you let gravity help. 🧲
Flatten your board at the top so the nose points downhill ⬇️ then ride out on your new edge.
Build confidence first: 💪 ride up on one edge and ride back down on that same edge.

Sometimes the huck and pray method works…. But this is the product of training and time on board. Time to take it to bigger features!
