The Brock Bead test assesses: • Convergence (eyes moving inward) • Divergence (eyes moving outward) • Visual acuity • Depth perception • Binocular vision (how well both eyes work together) During the test, you’re asked to focus on different colored beads positioned along a string while monitoring how your eyes coordinate and process visual information. At CFNC, we evaluate how your visual, vestibular (balance), and neurological systems work together. We may assess whether your vision changes when you move your head, close one eye, or shift focus between targets. What an incredible weekend of learning, collaboration, and Functional Neurology! We had an amazing group of medical doctors, physical therapists, occupational therapists, chiropractors, and other healthcare professionals come together with one common goal: to become better clinicians and help our patients achieve better outcomes. We spent the weekend diving deeper into the nervous system, learning new neurological examination and rehabilitation techniques, exploring new technology, and—most importantly—putting everything into practice. One of the best parts of these seminars is seeing professionals from different backgrounds learning from each other, asking great questions, and sharing ideas. Functional Neurology continues to evolve, and weekends like this remind us how powerful it can be when clinicians stay curious, keep learning, and work together.
