In a 1997 Nbc News interview, a determined 20-year-old Los Angeles Graffiti writer Gkae @gkae1msk spoke passionately about his love for graffiti. Despite facing legal troubles and a hefty $43,000 fine, he never lost sight of his passion and continued to pursue his dreams.

We're working on the GKAE episode. After some reflection on his extensive bombing career, my conclusion? GK is a serious graff addict, and @nyse_one needs to start his "Graffiti Addicts Notorious" right away. 😵💫🤒😂

GKAE MSK. SHARK.
“Unexpected Return: Legendary L.A. Vandal Lights Up Hollywood Freeway”
After years of silence, the infamous Los Angeles graffiti legend GKAE has returned to his roots, reclaiming the freeways that once made his name synonymous with the city of angels. Early this morning cameras spotted, GKAE, alongside fellow vandal SHARK, making an unexpected appearance on the 101 Hollywood Freeway, reigniting the city’s fascination with the well known Interstate Freeway Killer.
GKAE solidified his legacy in the 1990s by going “all city” and redefining what it meant to dominate Los Angeles. Over time, his name became legendary, and, as rumors suggest, he elevated not just one name, but a couple of others to infamy as well.
As the city prepares for the weekend, all eyes turn to its overpasses and billboards, waiting to see what GKAE and SHARK might have in store. For now, the city holds its breath, wondering what this iconic vandal will reveal next in his daring return to the streets.
Timothy Badalucco, known in the graffiti world as GKAE, started painting the streets at 14 years old in 1991 and never stopped, even when the system tried to keep him down. Today he’s also a professional residential painter who creates graphic design and fine art.
