Journey Construction
In my previous piece, Journey, you saw a luminous orb squeeze between a pair of inverted coat hooks, tremble momentarily in mid air, then drop into a weird contraption that flung it out of view.
But you couldn't see what I saw: a complex set of constantly changing vector spline paths, each coded by hand, and a hidden motion path built out of quadratic curves and a logarithmic spiral.
So here is an animation which conveys the construction of that journey. This is not exactly what I see at design time. It is, in fact, an even more elaborate construction. But it gives you some idea of how things like this are made in Nodebox.
Creating something out of rigid vectors that seems to move organically feels to me like magic.

#genuary day 3 "Fibonacci"
My research from Fibonacci day in Pisa, came in handy for todays prompt.
The golden rectangle, created by squaring the Fibonacci sequence numbers, unwrapping, traces a perfect circle.

This series was inspired by the work of Cesare Lombroso
From Wikipedia " Cesare Lombroso was an Italian physician, anthropologist, philosopher, jurist and criminologist, defined by some scholars as the father of modern criminology. An exponent of positivism, he was one of the pioneers of crime studies and the founder of criminal anthropology."

Generative experiment using metaballs as the underlying spatial primitive.
The animation continuously evaluates overlapping influence fields and translates them into layered line geometries, producing shifting structures that resemble terrain maps, cross-sections, or interference patterns depending on the camera angle. Added interaction lets new fixed metaballs reshape the composition over time through user input.
Created through a mix of mathematical systems design, creative coding, and AI-assisted prototyping (inspired by h7k2a4).
