Meet “Kels” 👋
Built around a carbon-bodied Nissan 350Z, it combines a naturally aspirated 4.2-liter V6 with high-power electric motors from a Formula E car. All managed by custom-developed software controlling the engine, inverter, & high-voltage systems. ⚡️
It also includes a DRS system, producing over 600 horsepower.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to attend @gridlifefest with the @hybridracing team and get a closer look at this incredible machine.
Eric competes in GLTC (Gridlife Touring Cup), one of the most competitive wheel-to-wheel racing classes in the country. What makes this car so fascinating is that it isn’t relying on huge horsepower numbers alone. Instead, it’s a combination of smart engineering, chassis setup, driver skill, and countless small details that all come together to create an incredibly fast package. ⚙️🏎️
From the custom driving position to the K24A powerplant and everything in between, I had an absolute blast learning about what makes this car so special and watching it compete all weekend. 🎥 🚗 💨
