Grief is heavy …😮‍💨 No one tells you how heavy ordinary things feel when you’re grieving. What I’m continuing to learn is grief strips us down to the things that matter most. So when we feel like we’re letting things go because we’re overwhelmed, maybe it’s because those things weren’t really meant for us anyway. If you’re in a season where ordinary things feel heavy while you’re grieving, know this: you’re not losing it, and you’re not alone. 🫂 For support and resources, join me 🔗 @imnatashasmith 🫶🏽 #griefcommunity #griefsupport #griefawareness #GriefResources #griefeducation

If grief was visible 🫠 As grievers, our grief most often goes unnoticed. Many of us keep it to ourselves so we don’t make others uncomfortable or have to answer, “What’s wrong?” But if grief was visible, maybe we’d be gentler with each other. Maybe we’d pause before judging, listen before offering advice. Maybe we’d feel less alone, knowing others carry invisible weight too. 🫂🫂 For support and resources, join me 🔗 @imnatashasmith 🫶🏽 #griefcommunity #griefsupport #griefawareness #GriefResources #griefeducation

Grief can be exhausting in ways people don’t always see. If you feel tired, it makes sense. You are carrying a lot. Give yourself permission to rest. It is not weakness, it is part of healing. #griefsupport #griefjourney #healingafterloss
This week, my office felt especially heavy. So many stories of grief. The loss of a child, a spouse, a parent… the quiet weight of anniversaries that never stop mattering. This morning, my daughter and niece snuck away and made a glittery mess and as I was cleaning it up, I found myself thinking about my clients. Grief doesn’t follow a timeline. It lingers, it surprises, it softens and sharpens all at once. And in all of it, there is so much love still present. If you’re carrying something heavy right now, you’re not alone. 🤍 #griefsupport #healingjourney #mentalhealthmatters #griefawareness #therapistlife
Grief can be messy and heavy At times it can feel like you’ll never escape and you’ll be stuck forever But here’s the thing I’ve learned through grief It reminds us of how deeply we have loved and lost It reminds us of how deeply we can feel and connect As I navigate this current season of grief here are some things I’m doing 1) I’m giving myself permission to be really honest and raw with how I’m feeling 2) I’m regulating my nervous system by getting outside and moving my body 3) I’m finding joy in any place I can and spending as much time as possible loving on my daughter and family 4) I’m taking the pressure off of myself - I’ve limited my to do list and I’m giving myself the compassion and safe space to say we’ll be okay with left overs again These are some things that have been helping navigate this season But also remember… Grief looks different for everyone and seeking professional help can be life changing. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. #grief #griefjourney @stanforcreators #stanforcreators
No one prepares us for grief. 😮‍💨 No one prepares us for how hard grief is. No one prepares us for the silence. The way life keeps moving. And how deeply it can change us. No one prepares us…maybe because no one can. But I still wish that others who had gone before me would have shared what they experienced and maybe just maybe it would have helped. If grief is hard right now, know you’re not alone in it. There are so many of us here with you.
