1st HYROX for me. 3rd for Joey. 🥹🔥 We went in with one goal: beat his original Mixed Doubles time of 1:14. But once we started, I felt GOOD and realized a sub-1:10 was within reach… so I pushed. 😮‍💨 And we finished in 1:09! 🏆 We definitely could’ve had a 1:07–1:08… but someone (ahem, Joey 👀) kept missing wall balls. 🙄😭😂 Either way, I’m SO proud of us…and especially proud of myself for absolutely killing my first HYROX. The training paid off, and having the best partner made it even better. Real talk for a minute. 1:08:12. Pro Division. I’m proud of myself for this one. Sub 70 minutes was a number I’ve been chasing for a while now, and I kept coming up short by a few minutes each time. Close enough to taste it, far enough to know something had to change, so I made changes. I brought in a running coach @run_renegade because I knew my weakness and I was tired of pretending it would just fix itself with more effort alone. Rebuilt how I trained, rebuilt my pacing, kept showing up on the days I didn’t want to. Today it finally clicked. This isn’t really a HYROX post. It’s a reminder that the goal you keep missing isn’t out of reach, it usually just means you’re solving the wrong problem. Fix the actual weak point and the result you’ve been chasing shows up. Great start to the race season. On to the next. God is the Greatest. #hyrox #hyroxdc #hyroxworld
