🤤 Finally tried Zayan BBQ and it did NOT disappoint 🐟🐑 We ordered the fish balls, chicken skewers, and lamb skewers, all cooked over real charcoal. 🔥 Everything was juicy, smoky, and seasoned so well. ⏰ Just a heads up: there can be a bit of a wait while they grill everything fresh, so you might want to sit down nearby or walk around while your food is getting ready, but it’s worth it. Self rotating Chinese skewers! 🤩 Yes, these skewers cook by themselves right in front of you! The rack contraption is so cool because it rotates the skewers automatically! 👏🏼 The meats were seasoned so well, the lamb and beef were our favorites! You can also get other skewers like grilled toast, beef tendon, and they also have other dishes like noodles, soups, and vegetables! 🌽 Can’t wait to come back! We’re just two friends with experience in the food industry, but we wanted to build something you could actually eat every day. Not once a month. Not a “cheat meal”. Every day. It took over a year and thousands of recipes. but we found the perfect balance. Flame-seared with our homemade teriyaki sauce, inspired by the famous Asian cuisine flavors. Finally checked out @gan.blaze in flushing at the @tangramnyc mall. They opened about a few months ago and they’re specializing in Chinese skewers. There’s so many skewer spots in flushing so I always have to check out the new ones for a change of scenery. You pick whichever skewers you want and the register will ring you up and add them to your tables bill. In the video I mispoke and said you pay for them in advance but you actually pay for it at the end. You can scan the QR code at the table and order additional hot dishes and drinks as well. I thought they had a decent amount of options but I ended up gravitating towards the black peppered beef skewers the most. There’s get pretty busy but luckily you can join their virtual waitlist before arriving. Smoked chicken frame, smoked pork knuckle, smoked tofu roll, smoked pork tongue. Very bold flavours, very fun to share with a group.
