Now that looks like a glamorous party.  It was thrown by Norton Simon in honor of Liza Minnelli during the very famous “Battle of Versailles.” She was there to walk in her BFF Halston’s show. The “battle” was a turning point for American designers as it showed the world that 7th avenue was as important if not more important than the french haute couture houses.
