Save this reel for your Hampi trip📌 🚗 HOW TO REACH HAMPI 🚌 Bus: You can take an overnight bus to Hospet (Hosapete) and then take a bus/auto to Hampi. 🚆 Train: Take a train to Hospet Junction (Hosapete). I travelled by 3-tier Hospet Express, and honestly, it was the best experience❤️ 🚗 Car: A good option if you’re travelling with family or friends 🛵 BIKE RENTAL TIP Don’t rent a bike from the other side of Hampi just for exploring South Hampi. There aren’t many rental options on the South Hampi side, so getting around can be inconvenient. For South Hampi, I’d recommend taking an auto instead of a bike, it’s easier and more convenient for covering all the sightseeing spots. Auto charges: Around ₹1,200–₹1,500 per day to cover the all places. Bhojana Shala, Hampi Tucked away in Hampi’s Royal Area, right across from the Octagonal Pavilion on the main road to Kamalapura, is the Bhojana Shala - the ancient community dining hall. It’s not a grand palace, but a brilliantly simple idea carved in granite. Archeologists believe this was the mess hall for soldiers. Long rows of circular food plates are scooped directly into the rock slabs, facing each other with a central channel in between. Visited hampi recently and couldn't help but imagine how these markets would have been 500 years back. But i guess I don't have to imagine, thanks to AI! So amused by how small things in travel is being enhanced by AI!
