The art glass tilethat makes designers stop and look twice!#moreroomstone #tile #handmade #tileart #moreroomcasa #handmadetile #mosaic #mosaictile #marble
Twenty years of saying next year.
Next year finally showed up. I’m going to Cersaie in Bologna and Tecna in Rimini — the two shows I’ve been talking myself out of for my entire career.
Not to come home with a bigger catalog. To come home with better tools, better glaze chemistry, and better ways to make the thing you can’t find anywhere else.
That’s the only kind of growing I’m interested in.
Wrote the whole thought out on the blog — what I’m looking for, and what I’m not willing to trade for it. Link in bio.
If you’ve walked either show: what should I not miss? 👇

Human made every step of the way.
From tile making, to firing, to glazing, to layout. Hand crafted care in every step of the process creates tile and design that is unlike any other.

Teracota LEAF
Bring us an idea. We’ll figure out how to make it in ceramic.

This is where a tile starts its life. No mold press, no machine — a hand, a blade, and clay dug from the same ground since 1960.

It's no secret that I love my hometown. ❤️ I was delighted to be asked to make tiles to serve as the @mainstreetkent awards again this year. You can see them pictured at the end of this reel!
The only way to get a Main Street Kent tile is to win one by making an outstanding contribution to our community! 🥰
If you are here in town, and you don't win an award tile tomorrow, you can still get a different tile honoring Kent at @mckaybricker gallery. Tree and squirrel tiles just landed this week, and they tend to go pretty quickly!
Handmade extruded tile. These are a test set of tiles made as a proof of concept. They are building on ideas I had at RCA and on my AA residency. I made this set for Making Sense at Twentytwentyone. They are planned as 2 plain colour tiles and 1 transition tile where the 2 clays meet. Here I am laying them in different ways to show what you can do with them. This test set is not perfect but if someone would like them let me know. There’s about 1msq 90ish tiles. #handmadetile #tiledesign #tile
