We got reported to the health department. Not by a buying customer, but by another micro bakery who never visited us, tried our food or met us. We weren’t the only ones: three other micro bakeries in neighboring towns were reported too by this baker. I’m not here to argue or point fingers. I’m here to be transparent, because that’s how we run Shushan Farm. You’re going to see how we handle it - every step, every question, every real moment behind the scenes. After her early onset Parkinson’s diagnosis four years ago and her dad’s recent diagnosis, we became aware of several others from the same neighborhood who are either currently living with Parkinson’s or who previously had it. At this point, we are already aware of approximately 7 to 8 individuals who lived on her street or within a street of it. We are gathering information to determine whether this may represent a health cluster that should be reviewed by the health department. If you grew up in the area of 3500 S and 4800 W in West Valley and you or someone you know has or has had Parkinson’s, please DM me. More questions this week as to why I no longer have any interest in (assisted) bodybuilding and why I’m so ‘against it’. The truth of the matter is, I’m not against anything. All of my captions clearly state that I have no judgement or issue. Each to their own, live and let live and all that. But like everyone in this world I do have views and opinions. It’s not hate, or a judgement. Just how we see things through our own eyes and conclusions we come to based on the knowledge we have. Some will share those views and some won’t, and that’s completely fine. And for me competitive bodybuilding taken to extreme levels in the health department, I just don’t get anymore as an older man. I really just don’t get it. High risk and very low reward, and for what? There are a ton of great BB coaches out there who are passionate about this stuff and as a BB you really need those guys in your corner, because it’s tough. Unfortunately though, I’m just not that guy. So for me to take your money knowing deep down I don’t really give a shit would be morally very wrong. Put someone in front of me who needs help with something on a way deeper level to change both theirs and their family’s lives long term, and then you’ll see me get excited 😁 Life is all about evolving and my skill set and passion now extends way past plastic trophies and posing in the local town hall.

SEEK and 2. Indeed. Don’t just apply to a few roles and wait — make it a routine.👩🏻‍💻 But applying alone is not enough — NETWORKING is key. Be active on LinkedIn, connect with people in your field, engage with their content, and don’t hesitate to reach out. *References* can make a huge difference — try to get recommendations from people in the industry, even from internships or university.🏫 Also, *volunteering* is underrated — it gives you local experience and helps you build connections, which is super important in Australia.🇦🇺 And one thing most people don’t do — *follow up*! Call or email places where you’ve applied and ask about your application status. It shows initiative and keeps you on their radar. That’s honestly how I did it — consistency, networking, and being proactive.
