🌀♾️ Can you actually listen to each other without turning the conversation into attacking a persons character? You can disagree. You can challenge each other. You can share your perspective and still have boundaries…. But you don’t have to make someone feel like a bad person just because they experienced something differently than you did… Healthy communication isn’t about deciding who’s right… It’s being able to communicate and be vulnerable, “This is how I experienced it,” while being open enough to hear, “This is how I experienced it.”… Two perspectives can exist at the same time... The goal shouldn’t be to win.. It shouldn’t be you vs. them Choose connection over winning or trying to prove a point.. You can’t understand if you’re trying to prove being right.. ✨Shadow work Question… Can you listen and be curious to someone’s perspective without immediately preparing to be defensive? #shadowwork #healthycommunication
According to psychology, clear and healthy communication creates emotional safety. When people explain instead of leaving you confused, listen instead of judging, and address problems instead of avoiding them, trust grows and anxiety decreases. Sometimes the greatest form of care is simply making someone feel understood. 🤍 #psychology #psychologysays #psychologyfacts #healthycommunication #emotionalintelligence

Healthy communication, vulnerability, respect, boundaries and love are very important in building trust in every relationship. More importantly, acknowledge your lack of trust in your partner (or other people) and identify the root cause of your trust issues. Repairing/building trust is easy for others but difficult for many. Be prepared and accept that this process takes time. Be kind to yourself and always have patience. Remember that emerging from this ordeal will make you empowered and stronger than ever before. One is glad to be of service.
Miscommunication often lives in the gap between what you said, what you meant, and what they heard. Healthy communication is learning how to close that gap, with curiosity instead of defensiveness. 🫶 #relateable #relationships
Healthy communication is a must when it comes to friendships. Here’s how you can respectfully learn how to be direct in your friendships.
Sometimes explaining what hurts isn’t an attempt to argue…it’s an attempt to be understood. But when vulnerability is met with defensiveness, explanations, or blame, the original hurt gets lost. Suddenly the person who opened up is left defending why they were hurt in the first place. Healthy communication isn’t about deciding whose feelings are more valid or who was technically right. It’s being able to hold space for someone’s experience without immediately making it about intent. Sometimes the most healing response is simply: “That wasn’t my intention, but I understand why it hurt.” Because in a relationship, being understood should matter more than winning. ❤️‍🩹 #EmotionalSafety #FeelingUnheard #Relationships #HealingJourney #gymtherapy

If you struggle to communicate, you are not alone. Communication is a learned skill that can take years to develop. Some of us were lucky enough to have healthy communication mirrored to us at a young age, but many of us were not making this skill much more challenging to develop over time. For people with anxiety, adhd, trauma, autism, and even an avoidant attachment style can struggle with communicating in a healthy way to their loved ones. Ultimately, the downfall of many relationships can stem from being unable to communicate our needs and telling another person what we want. Some reasons for this may be - Having a fear of conflict - Being worried about making matters worse - Not wanting to seem needy - Not wanting to stress out another person with your feelings - Invalidating & gaslighting yourself to believe you are wrong - Having trouble putting our feelings and emotions into words - Feeling like we will get in trouble for expressing our needs If you are working on how to communicate with people in your life, here are some tips: 1. Listen to your own emotions & provide internal validation 2. If you struggle to get the words out verbally, write them out and read what you’re trying to say to the other person, to ensure you reach all points and say what’s on your mind 3. Start small, communicate one thing at a time and be open to listening and having the other person communicate their needs as well 4. Use “I feel statements” rather than “you did” statements to really keep the conversations about your own experience 5. Practice communicating with relationships you feel secure in. If you struggle to communicate in a romantic relationship, work on your communication in your friendships or with family to build the skills and confidence 6. Sometimes the hardest part about communicating is starting the conversation off. If you can, schedule a weekly time to talk to your partner or friend about your relationship and the ways in which you’re both feeling. This will help bring up conversations and needs as it is planned Ib ❤️
💬 7 Texts That Can Reopen Healthy Communication (Without Playing Mind Games) ❤️ If your goal is a genuine connection... Focus on honesty. Not manipulation. Not guilt. Not making them jealous. Real communication starts with emotional maturity. 1️⃣ "I've had some time to reflect, and I hope you're doing well." A simple message that shows care without creating pressure. 2️⃣ "I appreciate the good memories we shared. Wishing you the best." Gratitude speaks louder than resentment. 3️⃣ "I've learned a lot from what we went through. Thank you for the lessons." Growth is attractive because it's genuine. 4️⃣ "If you're ever open to an honest conversation, I'm willing to talk." It leaves the door open while respecting their choice. 5️⃣ "I understand we both needed space. I truly hope you're finding peace." Shows empathy instead of blame. 6️⃣ "No matter what happened, I genuinely wish the best for you." A peaceful heart communicates more than emotional reactions ever will. 7️⃣ "I'm focusing on becoming a better version of myself. If life brings us together again, I'd rather meet as healthier people." This shifts the focus from chasing someone... To growing yourself. ✨ Here's what most people get wrong... The text itself rarely changes someone's feelings. But your emotional energy behind it does. People remember how you made them feel... Not how many paragraphs you sent. The strongest message isn't the one that makes someone chase you. It's the one that reflects your self-respect, emotional maturity, and inner peace. If someone truly values the relationship... Consistent actions—not clever texts—are what bring people closer. 💬 Comment "HEAL" if you believe healthy communication is more powerful than mind games. 📩 DM "CONSULTATION" to book your personalized 1:1 Relationship Guidance Session and gain clarity about your relationship.
