*Update on “Hexapus” and “Peace/F*ck Bomb” projects….
For those who were anticipating either one of these projects for a Stereolithograph release, it will likely not happen in this capacity.
Both of these projects utilized two parts that were to open up, revealing the innards, either the brain of the Hexapus, or the interchangeable hand gestures of the bomb.
Because of the different thicknesses and other details in the designs, the tops and bottoms shrank at different ratios causing them to no longer lineup and create an ideal design.
As they are both created utilizing photosensitive resin, I kept hoping that over time they would settle into the proper sizes but unfortunately, they did not.
Because they were not up to the standard that I believed would be of quality to offer to collectors I am abandoning their progression.
Hopefully, I can figure out a solution in the future or even have them produced in a material that does not shrink uncontrollably And get them out that way, but until then I have to figure out what to do with them in the raw form they are.
I will either include them as prototype/gifts for those who purchase other designs in the future or if anybody can think of a good use I’d love to hear the ideas…
