My homemade yogurt has 2 ingredients and scoops like this. Homemade yogurt is simpler than people think - and once you taste real fermented yogurt, the store bought versions just don’t hit the same anymore. Thick texture, clean ingredients, rich flavor, and no unnecessary fillers or gums. My bulletproof homemade yogurt recipe: * 1 gallon whole milk * 2 sachets of Coolinario L. Reuteri Yogurt Starter Instructions: * Bring milk to 180°F * Let cool to 110°F * Mix the starter with a little warm milk first * Add back into the pot and stir gently * Cover and keep warm for 12 hours undisturbed * Refrigerate another 12 hours for the texture to fully set Thick, creamy, and tangy yogurt made from actual milk and culture. #homemadeyogurt #guthealth #lowcarb #lreuteri #healthylifestyle
Homemade yogurt is one of those recipes that looks complicated until you actually make it. The key is keeping it warm while it ferments, then let time do the rest. This is just Part 1. 👀 In Part 2, I’ll show you how it turned out, how I strained it, and the final texture. Have you ever made homemade yogurt before, or is this your sign to try it? #probioticfood #homemadeyogurt #yogurtrecipes
Homemade Yogurt/Labneh/Greek Yogurt Skip the grocery store and use what’s left on the bottom of your yogurt container to make a whole new batch of homemade yogurt! Ingredients: 4L whole milk 1-2 tbs plain yogurt Place your yogurt in a bowl on the counter and let it come to room temperature while you work on the milk. Add all the milk to a large pot and heat it up on medium heat, stirring constantly, until right before it’s going to start boiling (180F). At the first sign of a bubble, cut the heat. A sign to look for is a whole lot of steam. Then, let it cool down to anywhere between 110F-120F. You can just let it sit and cool or place the pot in an ice bath to speed up the process. If you don’t have a thermometer, dip your clean pinky finger in the milk, and if you can barely tolerate the heat for a whole 10 seconds, it’s ready. Take a couple spoons of the cooled milk and add it to the reserved yogurt. Mix it in (it doesn’t need to be smooth), then add it to the pot of milk and give it a quick mix. Transfer the milk to whatever vessel, container or jar you want the yogurt to set in, or you could leave it in the same pot. Cover with a lid, then wrap in a couple layers of towel or blanket. Set it somewhere warm (top of the fridge, oven with the light on) for anywhere between 8-24 hours, depending on how thick and how sour you want it to be. The longer it incubates, the more thick and sour it’ll be, the more probiotics it’ll have. If making plain yogurt, set it in the fridge for a minimum of 6 hrs before cutting into it. IF MAKING LABNEH: After incubation, transfer the now set yogurt into a cheesecloth on top of a strainer. Salt it, cover it up, weigh it down a little, and let it strain in the fridge for 24-48 hrs. Then transfer to an airtight container and enjoy.
Most people struggle with homemade yogurt for one reason It’s not the milk It’s not the starter It’s temperature If it drops too low, nothing really happens Too high, and you start killing off what you’re trying to grow That’s why it comes out inconsistent This is what actually fixed it for me Using this sponsor's yogurt maker keeps everything stable, so the fermentation can do what it’s supposed to do You end up with something thicker, cleaner, and way more reliable That’s the difference Link is in the comments
