SOP’s for the house? Yes please! If the corporate world has taught me anything at all, it’s that Standard Operating Procedures can be (and should be) applied to any system. Especially systems that involve other people 🙂‍↕️ And organizing my cleaning products by zone, has made my life so much easier! Gone are the days of running up and down the stairs to get the same products over and over again. Comment STARTER and i’ll send you instructions to start your own starter and an easy, beginner friendly recipe to make your first sourdough loaf. You do NOT need to overcomplicate this. I know sourdough can feel intimidating… like there’s a “right” way and you’re gonna mess it up. That was me too. 🫣 BUT you’re not. Promise. It’s literally flour, water, and consistency. And I swear… once you start, it becomes one of those things that just feels really good. Like wow, I made this for my family kind of good. Here’s the simplest way to start: 👇🏼 DAY 1 • 1/2 cup flour • 1/4 cup filtered water Mix in a jar until smooth (thick pancake batter vibe) Cover loosely (cloth or lid slightly open) Let sit on the counter 24 hours DAY 2 • Repeat the exact same thing (yes, just add again, don’t overthink it) DAY 3 • Discard about half • Add 1/2 cup flour + 1/4 cup water Mix + let sit 24 hours DAYS 4–5 • Repeat Day 3 DAY 6–7 • Same process BUT feed every 12 hours instead of 24 What you’re looking for: Bubbles ✔️ Growth (it doubles in size) ✔️ Slight sour smell ✔️ That’s when you know she’s ready 👏🏼 And listen…it doesn’t have to be perfect. Your house temp might be different Your flour might be different (I personally use all purpose organic flour) Some days it’ll grow fast, some days it won’t That’s normal, just stay consistent. There’s something about slowing down and making food from scratch that just hits different. No weird ingredients No guessing Just real food, made by you And that’s the whole point of this life we’re trying to build 🤍 If you’ve been thinking about starting… this is your sign. Just start.
