This might be my favorite thing about 3D printing. Theo’s been doing a lot of reading lately, so I decided to make him a bookmark. I drew up the design, incorporated some of the entries from the Plantfriendex, and printed it out. The result looks almost like a carved tablet, something you can actually feel. I think I’ve found another 3D printing rabbit hole… HueForge! 🤯 I’m still very much a beginner, but I’m fascinated by how things like filament transmission distance (TD) can completely change the final image. I’ve already started going down the rabbit hole of experimenting with different filaments, colours and settings. For my first little experiment, I made a Virat Kohli bookmark 🏏 because if you know me, you know I’m a huge cricket fan! This is honestly just the beginning. No vídeo de hoje, eu mostro como imprimir um HueForge, aquela técnica incrível que parece uma pintura feita de plástico. Explico um detalhe técnico fundamental: a escala desse tipo de arquivo só pode ser alterada nos eixos X e Y. Se você mexer no eixo Z, você acaba destruindo a lógica das camadas de transmissão de luz (TD), o que faz com que as cores não se misturem da forma que o software planejou, resultando em um quadro com cores totalmente erradas. Além da escala, eu revelo um truque de mestre para quem quer utilizar mais de 4 filamentos em uma única impressão usando apenas 1 AMS. A estratégia consiste em monitorar a impressão e, assim que o AMS terminar de usar uma cor que não será mais solicitada nas camadas seguintes, você faz a troca física desse carretel por uma nova cor exigida pelo projeto. Isso permite criar artes extremamente complexas e coloridas sem a necessidade de investir em um segundo ou terceiro AMS. Essa técnica abre um leque de possibilidades para criar quadros, capas de caderno e itens decorativos com um nível de detalhamento artístico impressionante. Entender a relação entre a altura da camada e a opacidade do filamento é o que diferencia uma impressão comum de um verdadeiro HueForge profissional.
