Arthur asked to spend his birthday at the ‘crocodile farm’ and safe to say that was an excellent choice!
We hadn’t been for a while, but @johnsonsofoldhurst is one of those hidden gems that’s not only budget friendly but also perfectly sized for a family day out.
It’s big enough to keep everyone busy without feeling overwhelming too.
We loved wandering the woodland trail, letting the kids run wild in the playground, and spotting all the exciting animals, like crocodiles, capybaras, and tiny baby meerkats.
If you’re looking for a relaxed, fun day that won’t break the bank and keeps the kids occupied enough to stop bickering, this one’s definitely worth a visit!

Huntingdon needs a new skate park. In today’s day and age when skateboarding is an Olympic sport and concrete parks are popping up everywhere we too need to get with the times. After speaking with the Town Clerk for Huntingdon Town Council yesterday I was delighted to hear she is aware of issues and keen to do something about it. I decided to pop down to the park myself today to document the main issues so everyone is aware.
What I didn’t touch on in the video is really how outdated it is. We could look to fix the problems but the reality is metal parks are difficult to ride on and I’ve seen first hand how youngsters and adult beginners won’t even entertain the idea of using them due to how much smoother concrete is. Im not sure what realistically can be done right now as the size of the park is massive so it would be quite costly to re-do the whole thing but something does need to be done. Huntingdon shouldn’t fall behind when surrounding areas like Godmanchester and Brampton have skate parks that regularly get used.

A heroic rail worker who was seriously injured during a mass stabbing onboard a train at the weekend has been praised by police and the transport secretary for protecting passengers.
Samir Zitouni, who works for London North Eastern Railway, was one of 11 people treated in hospital after the attack onboard a moving train from Doncaster to London.
He was in a life-threatening condition but is now stable and remains in hospital.
