Do you see the difference? 🤯
Even with the smartest AI out there, having real tech skills still matters. Without them, it’s hard to keep up (trust me, we learned that the hard way!)
@IBM SkillsBuild has quick, free courses where you can actually learn how to use AI tools — build your first chatbot, create a text-to-speech assistant, or try out Generative AI for coding.
Each one takes about an hour and gives you real, practical skills!

@ibm is quite literally SERVING at this year’s US Open, and I’m not talking about the honey deuces. 🎾🍸✨ #IBMPartner
You can experience every game, set, and match point, EVEN if you’re not physically in Arthur Ashe Stadium, by exploring the official US Open App >> https://bit.ly/3UohUBy << and before you know it, you’ll be closer than courtside ;)
Happy US Open szn and thank you so much to IBM for partnering with me on this video!
Your AI agents aren’t bad. #IBMPartner
They’re failing because your data is a mess.
I’m at the Databricks Data + AI Summit this week to learn how Confluent, an @ibm Company is fixing common data problems that kill AI agents in production.
———
3 common Data problems that break AI agents in production👇
𝟭. 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱, 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮
Every enterprise knows this one.
Your data lives in a bunch of different databases and apps... and they’re all separated and siloed from each other.
Confluent pulls all of it into one place.
It connects to your databases and apps, then streams everything into a single source of truth.
𝟮. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮
We all know the frustration when your AI agent solves the problem correctly, BUT it’s working off data from yesterday (not right now).
Confluent is built on Kafka, the reliable open-source event streaming platform.
That means you can sync real-time data straight into your data warehouse.
So your agent makes decisions on the latest information.
𝟯. 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀
Pipelines break easily when upstream data changes, especially when you’re streaming from multiple sources at once.
Confluent Tableflow automatically materializes Kafka topics as Iceberg or Delta Lake tables.
Instead of you writing and maintaining custom pipelines, it handles schema mapping, evolution, and type conversions for you.
So when an app decides to send different data one day, it won’t break everything downstream.

This is what real learning looks like 🔥
Learning to code isn't the same as learning to build.
That difference becomes really important once you move beyond tutorials and start working on
actual products.
You need to understand how the pieces fit together and, increasingly, how to work with AI rather
than treating it as something separate from development.
That’s what I like about @ibm
It puts more emphasis on practical learning, hands-on labs, and building things you can actually
use to demonstrate your skills.
Because your portfolio shouldn't just say “I completed a course.
”
It should show what you can actually build.
If you're learning development or trying to become job-ready, this is worth exploring.

@ibm flew me to NYC to test their⛳️ Masters AI experience in person. #IBMPartner
I had to see if the tech was on par 👀
Here’s what I found:
↳ Masters Vault Search
50 years of Masters Tournament footage is fully searchable through conversational AI. Any moment, any player, and any shot all the way back to 1968. It’s powered by a multi-agent system using IBM watsonx and Granite models.
This is agentic AI in production!!
↳ Hole Insights
The second a ball lands, its exact coordinates are captured and cross-referenced against decades of historical data. IBM’s AI calculates real-time probability of birdie, par, or bogey.
It’s like having a data analyst stationed at every hole on the course (every golfer’s dream, right?!)
What you’re watching isn’t a proof of concept, it’s production-grade agentic AI. The same IBM infrastructure running at The Masters runs inside enterprises: multi-agent systems, real-time data analysis, & decades of historical context all delivered instantly.
Watching The Masters is going to be even more fun this year.
(Now where’s my ice bath?!)

My story… the moment everything took a different path.
Curious about AI but not sure where to start?
