Day 1 at the EcoBank iREP Smartphone Filmmaking Workshop was a great learning experience. Today’s sessions focused on understanding camera settings, ISO, editing basics, and how to shoot compelling stories using lighting and strong visual composition. It was insightful to see how powerful storytelling can be created even with mobile devices. I appreciate the guidance from the facilitators and organizers, including Tunde Kelani, Femi Odugbemi, the marketing team, and the staff of Ecobank for making this learning experience possible. Looking forward to building on these lessons in the coming days. cc: @ecobank_nigeria @irepfilmfestival @tkelani @femiodugbemi and others 🥰❤️ #IREP2026 #DocumentaryFilm #MobileFilmmaking #Storytelling

The iREP Chairman, Prof. Awam Amkpa and iREP Co-Founder, Jahman Anikulapo joined the hosts of the Arise Morning Show to reflect on the festival’s remarkable 15-year journey. They shared the ‘Why’ behind iREP’s founding vision, the evolution of the festival over the past fifteen years, and the role documentary storytelling continues to play in shaping how Africa sees itself and how the world understands the African experience. From its beginnings as a bold response to a gap in the African documentary landscape, iREP has grown into a significant cultural platform that champions documentary cinema, nurtures filmmakers, and amplifies important African stories. #iREP15 #Transformation #DocumentaryFilmmaking

Mirip dikit sama bahasa Indonesia, remuk jadi ramuk. Kalo menggeprek kan artinya ditekan, tapi sampai remuk. Jadi intinya, kalo ayamnya sampai remuk jadi “manu na sanramuk”, tapi kalo masih bentuk utuh kayak drumstick yg aku makan ini, harusnya jadi “manu na irep” sih. 😄😄 Atau ada ide lain? #dayak #kalimantan #bahasa #budaya #maanyan #kalteng #borneo #adat #emmanuelashinta
