Some clients can feel a bond in certain areas even when you’re following every rule staying away from baby hairs, using the lightest bonds, clean sectioning, all of it. A lot of times the sides are extremely sensitive for people. For others it’s the back. NO ONE KNOWS THiS BETTER than ME‼️ That’s why I always ask my client: “Are you okay if I place a bond here?” Even if the bond is tiny and light, placement matters. If it’s uncomfortable the first day, imagine living with that feeling for the next 3–4 months. That’s how clients end up with headaches from extensions. So listen to what your client tells you and build a system around them, not around some rigid rule. Clean sectioning matters. Make sure there are no stray hairs in the section. Work from underneath the section when needed. But even when everything is technically perfect, communication still matters more. If they say an area is sensitive, respect it. Period. On this client I’m creating true nano bonds because she has a 2C curl pattern but extremely baby-fine strands. That means I have to control two things: • the amount of hair in each bond • the type of donor hair I use For her I’m using what we call baby-fine hair. Baby-fine hair means very young donor hair where the strand diameter is naturally tiny and lightweight before the structure thickens with age. If the donor strand is even slightly heavier than the client’s strand, it will feel like weight in the section. Even if the texture matches perfectly. On hair like hers, strand weight matters more than density matching. When the hair is correct, the bond is nano, and the placement respects the scalp… The client should feel like there’s almost nothing in their hair. And that’s the goal.
