✨ Yes: you can see what you play ✨
At Imaginando, we often get asked how to use the polyphonic visual layers in VS- Visual Synthesizer.
So today, we’ll show you exactly how to do it yourself!
All you need is:
🎹 VS - Visual Synthesizer
🎹 A MIDI note input (keyboard, sequencer, or controller)
We’re using Ableton Live in this tutorial, but you can also do it in the standalone or plugin versions of VS - Visual Synthesizer, available for macOS, Windows, and iOS.
With just a few steps, you’ll transform your MIDI notes into stunning, reactive visuals. Perfect for live shows, music videos, or creative experiments.

Visual Synth V2 is one of those plugins that immediately blurs the line between sound design and visuals 🎛️✨
Built by Imaginando, it turns MIDI and audio into real time reactive graphics that feel alive, musical and surprisingly playable.
Everything responds to your performance 🎹 Velocity, modulation, envelopes and audio input all drive the visuals in real time, making it perfect for live sets, generative art and audio visual experimentation.
Under the hood it’s deep but fast ⚡
You get multiple visual generators, modulation sources, shaders and post effects that can be layered and animated without killing your flow.
It works just as well in the studio as it does on stage 🎥 Use it for music videos, live projections, album visuals or just to explore new creative directions while writing.
If you like tools that reward experimentation and don’t box you into presets, this one goes deep 🌀
