On Tuesday 19th August 2025 Barbados celebrated a proud moment with the official unveiling of the interCaribbean Airways aircraft named 'Spirit of Barbados'.
This Barbados branded aircraft proudly displays the national flag and trident on its tail and 'We Gatherin' logo on its fuselage.
The Hon. Mia Amor Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados, led an official welcome of tourism officials and partners.
The Barbados Cadet Corps added to the highlight of this historic occasion by parading on the tarmac and lining the red carpet gracefully.

O Embraer ERJ-145LR de matrícula VQ-TPS, da interCaribbean Airways, realizou uma parada na capital amazonense na última sexta-feira (24) após cumprir a rota Providenciales (Ilhas Turcas e Caicos) - Bridgetown (Barbados) - Manaus. A aeronave pernoitou na cidade e, na manhã de sábado, decolou novamente para o estado de São Paulo.
O Embraer ERJ-145LR é um jato regional desenvolvido pela Embraer para transportar até 50 passageiros, conhecido pela boa autonomia e baixo custo operacional. Desde sua entrada em serviço, no fim da década de 1990, tornou-se um dos modelos de maior sucesso da fabricante brasileira, operando em diversos países.
Fundada em 1991, a interCaribbean Airways nasceu nas Ilhas Turcas e Caicos e se consolidou como a maior companhia aérea regional de capital privado do Caribe. Seu nome reflete justamente essa missão: conectar as ilhas caribenhas por meio de uma ampla malha regional. A empresa iniciou operações com jatos em 2019 utilizando o ERJ-145 e, recentemente, começou a expandir sua frota com a incorporação dos primeiros Embraer E170, aeronaves de maior capacidade que reforçam seus planos de crescimento.
