Isoler correctement ses rampants ✨

Vous avez été très nombreux à nous demander ce qu’on avait choisi pour isoler les rampants de notre suite parentale et surtout quelle épaisseur nous avons mis.
Il faut déjà savoir que l’on essaie de respecter au maximum le bâti ancien de notre manoir en utilisant des produits naturels 🪵 et écologique ♻️
C’est donc tout naturellement que l’on s’est tournés une nouvelle fois vers la fibre de bois de chez @soprema_france comme vous le savez c’est un des matériaux que l’on adore et que l’on connaît par cœur 🙏🏼
Pour ce chantier de 200m2 on a donc choisi une épaisseur de 32cm en sélectionnant de la 220 & de la 100 en couche croisée 🤩
On a appliqué la première couche en 100 entre chevrons et on est venu croiser pour limiter les ponts thermique au maximum avec la 220.
On est dailleurs super content que @soprema_france nous accompagne dans cet incroyable projet 🏡

All good things must come to an end….
Someone messaged me asking if I felt sad to be ending this era of Isolation Creation, a collection of 107 daily photographs created during 2020’s lockdown. I am an overly sentimental person. It should go without saying I cried putting this video together both longing and not longing for those days. But to answer the question, there is always something sad to things ending but greater than that sadness is the pride I feel for having done this, and the appreciation to have had you all to share it with.
Though we will retire the #IsolationCreation posters after tonight, I will sleep well knowing so many of you cherish these photographs with me, these shared days of our lives, and there is no expiration on the power of our human connection.

Have you got any tips as a new photographer?
Yes a tonne, here’s a few for when you’re just starting out!
1. Take photos everyday, in manual mode.
I’m not talking about fancy photo shoots. Just set something up to photograph, Pop a vase or coffee mug on a table and practice getting it in focus and correctly exposed.
Make small tweaks and see how it affects the image.
2. Accept your photos will be rubbish in the beginning 😂. It’s a process and a skill that will develop over time.
No one picks up a camera for the first time and knows how to get a perfectly focused shot.
3. Don’t worry about equipment. First learn good composition and how to manually expose, they’re more important!
4. Switch up your angles when you shoot. Moving around shooting different angles and then reviewing the photos. Helps you figure out the best angles.
Bonus tip:
Look at great photos and follow great photographers. Ask yourself ‘what makes this photo good?’, ‘what’s drawing my eye in?’.
But don’t fall into a comparison trap. Remember this is photo no. 573285 for them.
Practice practice practice!
You’ll get to a point when shooting and editing is second nature to you!
