This reel caused quite a stir when it went viral on Facebook last year #flashbackfriday We got shouted at because people thought we were buying ourselves a coffee and not getting the children a drink, though quite clearly we did buy them a drink as evidenced in its arrival on camera 😆 Apparently the evidence was in David’s coffee being finished, and the staunch complainers would not be appeased with the very simple explanation of what actually happened - in a busy cafe, the children’s hot chocolate’s got delayed. Nope, instead they told us that we’re horrible mean parents 😳 Though the truth was that the woman serving said how patient and well behaved the Smalls had been to wait as they had, though Bertie’s patience had expired by this point! 🤭
We do usually go prepared with snacks and drinks when we go out else it gets very expensive with four children, so this was a lovely treat for them and whilst they knew we’d got them a drink, we surprised them with a hot chocolate with all the frills. I loved seeing their excitement 🥹💕
But a few chose to look through a different lense and that’s a reflection of how they choose to see the world. As @melrobbins would say #letthem 🤷🏼♀️

Picture this: it’s late at night. It’s cold. There’s only one spot left remotely close to our house. It requires a tight parallel parking spot. I pick up the phone after attempting it. “Could you possibly come help me park?” | ask my husband. 1 minute later, I see him walking out in winter temperatures, in his shorts. 🥹😂 He parks my car for me, and does it with a smile. I love this man.
He is always just a phone call away.. ❤️
