We’ve had so many questions about earlobe repair surgery - so let’s answer some of them with Dr Rishi 👂✨ Over time (often simply from wearing earrings), earlobes can start to look elongated, the piercing hole can stretch, and in some cases the lobe can tear all the way through. Heavier earrings and repeated pulling can accelerate this - and it can leave people feeling self-conscious or avoiding earrings altogether. The good news? This is usually a relatively straightforward concern to address ✅ What does earlobe repair involve? • A simple procedure performed under local anaesthetic• You come in, we place a small local anaesthetic injection into the earlobe - and once it’s numb, you should feel no pain• We then remove a small amount of tissue around the stretched hole/tear• The lobe is stitched and refashioned to restore a neat, natural shape• We typically use dissolvable stitches, so they dissolve on their own• Recovery is usually very quick, and you can return to wearing earrings again within a few months (once fully healed) If you’ve been hiding your ears, avoiding earrings, or want to correct a split or stretched lobe, this can be a simple, confidence-restoring fix 🙏 📩 To book a consultation or for more information, DM us or email [email protected] #EarlobeRepair #SplitLobeRepair #EarlobeSurgery #EarlobeReconstruction #AdvancedAesthetics
Little back story: I have had my lobes stretched since I was 15. I stopped at 1/2 (12mm) back in 2017. Fast forward to 2021, I decided to remove them after my daughter was born because my lobes had thinned out and I was having nightmares that they split 😅 Summer of 2024, my lobes had shrunk to a 4g but anytime I would put 4g jewelry in, my lobes would start naturally stretching again. So I reached out to a surgeon. September of 2024, I had my lobes repaired. The process was about an hour and a half because they had to redo my right lobe as it wasn't stitching smoothly. Otherwise, the process itself was pretty easy. I had Lidocaine in my ears and didn't feel anything other than some pulling. The WORST part was their incredibly uncomfortable chair, my fibromyalgia body was pissed. 😂 7 days later, I had the stitches removed and I then waited until the scar tissue had settled enough to get them safely repierced. I was told 2 months but after having a serious conversation with the surgeon on piercings and the healing, they agreed that wasn't the best idea for future recommendations. We always tell clients a MINIMUM of 6 months, but prefer a year if possible. Personally, my ears were still healing and a bit tender at 2 months so piercing/healing would have SUCKED. 🫠 Now, flash forward almost a year and a half and my lobes are healed and looking "normal" for the first time since I was a teenager. The scarring is barely visible. The only slight grumpy bit is 2 of my previous stacked lobes are angled from the surgery, so I cannot comfortably wear jewelry in them. Small price to pay. Lol Feel free to ask any questions on the process. It was an interesting experience but I would absolutely recommend it to anyone interested in doing it, whether its from a piercing that caused a slit/hole or stretched lobes you want to retire. . . . #piercing #surgery #earloberepair #kansascity #earpiercing
Split Ear (Torn Earlobe) is a condition where the earlobe gets partially or completely torn. Earlobe reduction is a quick cosmetic procedure under local anaesthetic to make large, stretched, or sagging earlobes look smaller and more balanced. A thin scar is normal but typically fades well over time. #earlobereduction #earloberepair #stretchedears #ears #bigears
Finally bump-free! After only a month, we were finally able to switch and downsize to a stunning titanium jewelry piece. ⚜️
Split Earlobe Repair: Over time, wearing heavy or tight earrings can cause the skin on the earlobes to thin and weaken, resulting in droopy or split earlobes. The solution involved removing the damaged skin and reconstructing the earlobe, ensuring that only strong, healthy skin remains to support earrings properly once again. #ears #stretchedears #earloberepair #earpiercing #earlobesurgery
Earlobe repair has the easiest recovery of any procedure I do. Most people expect weeks of pain, but in Beverly Hills, patients are shocked when I tell them it's just a few days of mild soreness. We wedge out the torn area like cutting a pizza slice and close it back together. Whether it's from gauging or heavy earrings that tore through, the recovery is surprisingly simple. Your earlobes aren't very sensitive, so healing is quick and comfortable. Questions about earlobe reconstruction? So I got a helix piercing… Thought I’d get cute pictures. Instead, I got: • Stage 2 cartilage infection • 2 operations • 9 days in the hospital BUT… my cartilage survived like a warrior 🫡 Now we patiently wait about a year for my ear to return to its original shape. From piercing goals to hospital goals real quick 😂 Peace ✌️ #EarPiercingFail #funnyreel #HelixFail #CartilageDrama #fyp
