my evisu/japanese denim plug is back with ANOTHER haul for me. 56 pairs of japanese denim, mainly all evisu nearly 30 pairs are the big diacock style. price went up from last time but quality is there. crazy how it all started from seeing one facebook marketplace post for some evisu’s turning into multiple hauls over the span of nearly 2 years all from the same person. all available very soon, full haul update + my favorites of the bunch up next. slim pickings 024

#AroundTheOffice — Tuff Tony Snake Eyes Selvage worn and repaired by Hugo, our Pattern Maker. When you wear and wash the Snake Eyes selvage, you will be rewarded. Hugo’s pair is a perfect example. He has been wearing regularly them since March of 2020. With over a dozen washes now and some repairs they are in their prime. The Snake Eyes selvage fabric is manufactured in the legendary denim-town of Kojima, the very birthplace of Japanese denim. This premium denim is woven on old shuttle looms with weft yarns of irregular thickness. These two factors give the fabric a characteristic that could be described as an “uneven surface” and as we say around the office it’s an perfect imperfection. With wear, the denim will reveal a clear red cast, a blue hue, and a marbling structure with a slight salt n’ pepper graininess - characteristics that can also be found in fine vintage denim. #NudieJeans #TuffTony #Selvage #Shashiko

Finally got my first pair of Japanese denim. After doing extensive research with the help of Google Gemini, I found these incredible raw selvedge jeans in London. From the deep, dark indigo rope-dyed fabric, to the chain stitched hem, there’s so much craftsmanship in every detail. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra has been my go-to research setup for this denim hunt. This denim set from @needbyvintage is made in Okayama, one of the heartlands of Japanese denim production. Same denim, same shirt - styled three different ways with pieces from my own wardrobe.
