#JeremyLoops
Guess who joined the party... Jeremy Loops!!!
I’ve spent many years alongside Jeremy Loops, creating and performing music together, and one thing has never changed—the power of a real human connection through live music.
In a world where AI is changing so much, it’s incredible that people still choose to come to shows, share moments, and support real musicians. That’s something we’ll never take for granted.
Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in live music. ❤️🎷🎶 @jeremyloops @nickcattomusic @shakespierreza @jarredsworld @devindrums
Life is short. It’s often hard. Find joy where you can. And, for me, “joy” often takes the shape of singing my heart out and getting down at a Jeremy Loops show. The music. The vibe. The crowd. The JOY.
We tend to be apologetic for things we really love or are passionate about. But, man alive, I’m 36 years old and living apologetically seems like such a waste of time. I’ve never been (and will likely, never be) a cool kid. A friend recently described me as a “hilarious wild-card”, and honestly - I think I prefer that to “cool” anyway.
Yes, I drink French champagne in Michelin-starred restaurants, but, I also do tequila shots while dancing on a table at a Jeremy Loops show. While there were no tables at this particular show, here’s a snapshot of me getting down to my all-time fave song of his. I hope you can sense the joy!
I randomly stumbled across this clip on YouTube (I was doing research for a short piece I’m writing anout his Paris show for a travel magazine) and am so grateful I’m able to relive this night. I cut out the first two minutes of banter…because; wow, thank you @jeremyloops for putting up with me, and @mrsakitumi for always reminding J what key this song is in. 📽️: @parisandallthatjazz on YouTube. #jeremyloops #jeremyloopslive #jeremyloopstour #letrabendo #letrabendoparis #tripfox #southafricanmusic #southafricanmusician #southafricanband

NEW WORK! There's always so much fear that AI is going to steal creative people's jobs. Well, our latest music AI collab with Samsung not only created work for 29 musical Artists, but also for 112 other humans. Our aim was to use a number of tech platforms and pull very different genres of South African talent together (Kwesta, Jeremy Loops, Mzansi Youth Choir, Lex Lafoy, Mpho Molikeng) to create a song to support our Olympic athletes - and to stir pride across the country. Great things can happen when creative people embrace creative tech.
