Your best worker usually doesn’t quit first. First, he stops volunteering. Stops staying late. Stops fixing problems that aren’t technically his. Eventually he does exactly what he’s paid to do — and nothing more. That’s what happens when the guy carrying the load gets tired of carrying everybody else. #bluecollar #trades #jobsite #leadership #workethic
It be like that. #jobsite #construction #bluecollar

We call this scaffold surfing 🤣🏄🏻‍♀️ @those_wild_twins (By the way, I’m on stilts so that’s why I’m not down there moving the scaffold for her😆) ⚠️Please do not try this on your jobsite #construction #sketchy #montana #surf #diy
My most hated sound on a job. Besides the multitool #Tradie #tips #trade #jobsite #howto
Not a fan of the sawzall I guess #jobsite #construction
Second day on the job. Kid looked around at morning break, looked around again at lunch, packed his bag and said this isn’t for me. Gone by 12:30. The crew roasted him for a week. Soft. No work ethic. Generation of quitters. I laughed along with everyone. Took me years to admit what actually happened that day. That kid did the math in four hours that the rest of us refused to do in twenty years. He looked at the oldest guys on site and saw the ending. He looked at the wage, the ceiling, the toll, and he ran a projection. Then he acted on it immediately, without needing a decade of sunk cost to justify staying. We called it quitting. It was actually just fast math. The guys who stayed weren’t tougher than him. We were slower. Every one of us eventually had some version of his lunch break moment, standing there mid task, realizing the road goes nowhere new. He had his at 19 and left. Most guys have it at 40 and stay anyway, because twenty years feels like too much to walk away from. I finally acted on my lunch break moment years later than I should have. Studied at night, got licensed, built my income in financial services until the site was optional. The kid was never soft. He just refused to spend twenty years proving what he figured out before noon. #construction #bluecollar #tradesman #jobsite #realtalk

We were leaving a jobsite when this guy spotted the BOSS truck and came chasing us down because he wanted a hammer. That’s the kind of dedication we like to see. We’re hitting the road every Thursday, stopping at jobsites and meeting guys who want to see what the Blue Collar Steel is all about. If you see the BOSS truck, flag us down. We might just have your next hammer with us.
Got caught in 4K. There was absolutely no talking my way out of this one. 🤦‍♂️ Then came the classic: "Hey buddy, you better make sure you're cleaning your shit up." 👷 Follow @drod269 for more foreman crashouts, safety meetings & jobsite drama 😂 #construction #drywall #constructionlife #union #bluecollar
