FOODS THAT SUPPORT KIDNEY HEALTH Your kidneys help filter waste, balance fluids, and regulate important minerals in your body. While no food can "clean" or "detox" your kidneys, a healthy diet can support normal kidney function. ✅ Foods to include: 💧 Water – Helps maintain hydration. 🍒 Cranberries – May support urinary tract health. 🍋 Lemon – Adds flavor without extra sodium. 🥦 Cauliflower – A nutritious, low-sodium vegetable. 🌿 Ginger – Contains natural antioxidant compounds. ⚠️ Foods to limit: 🧂 Excess salt 🍔 Ultra-processed foods 🥣 Soy sauce (high in sodium) 🥤 Sugary soft drinks ❗Important: If you have chronic kidney disease, some foods (such as avocado or certain high-potassium foods) may need to be limited. Always follow your doctor's or dietitian's advice. 💬 Which kidney-friendly food do you enjoy the most? #KidneyHealth #HealthyKidneys #HealthyEating #Nutrition #Wellness

I’ve been talking a lot about creatine lately, and naturally, questions come up. One thing I hear frequently is concern about creatine and kidney health. Many people worry that taking creatine could damage their kidneys or indicate an underlying problem.

The truth is a bit more nuanced. Creatine is converted in the body to a compound called creatinine. Higher creatinine levels on a lab test do not automatically mean there is a kidney issue. Often, they simply reflect normal metabolism.

Recent long-term research gives us even more clarity on this topic. It is worth understanding the science before making assumptions about your health or your supplements.

Let me know in the comments if you’d like me to write a blog diving deeper into the research around creatine and kidney health.
