I’m really proud to announce the @klim.foundation first CIDP Connection Day, taking place on Saturday 5 September at the Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands. This is a free, full-day event created specifically for people living with CIDP, their carers and families. When you’re diagnosed with a rare condition like CIDP, one of the biggest challenges is knowing where to turn for reliable information, practical support and people who truly understand what you’re going through. That’s why we’re bringing together CIDP expert neurologists, allied health professionals, psychologists, and NDIS and Aged Care specialists for one day of practical sessions, clinical insights and open discussion. We’ll cover the issues that matter in everyday life. Understanding the condition, navigating treatment and support services, managing mobility and rehabilitation, and connecting with others who share similar experiences. For me personally, the lack of clear information and connection was one of the hardest parts of my own CIDP journey. The Klim Foundation exists to help change that. Most importantly, this day is about community. It’s about bringing patients, carers, healthcare professionals and supporters together in one room to listen, learn and connect.
