😯విజయవాడకు 'బెజవాడ' అనే పేరు రావడానికి అసలు కారణం ఇదే!😳 In the past, the Krishna River was flowing across the earth and eventually reached the vicinity of Bezawada. As Krishnaveni was heading to merge into the ocean, the Indrakeeladri mountain stood in her path. When Krishnamma prayed for a way through, Kanaka Durgamma, who resides on that hill, took pity on her. She suggested that the river flow through a small hole (Bejjam) in the Indrakeeladri mountain. At that moment, Kanaka Durgamma took a liking to Krishnaveni's nose ring and asked to borrow it. Krishnamma adorned Durgamma with her nose ring and said that at the end of the Kali Yuga, she would personally rise up the hill to take it back Because the river flowed through that 'Bejjam' (hole) in Indrakeeladri, the area came to be known as 'Bejjamwada', which over time evolved into 'Bezawada' (Vijayawada).
