hidden inside of banchan ala carte is a cute new coffee shop called cafe luce. on the right is the grab-n-go section, on the left is the coffee bar, and in the middle is a communal table. it’s simple and straight to the point! i really enjoyed their raspberry peach matcha, and i definitely want to come back and try some more items on their menu.

space is a tiny little coffee shop in dtla, but dont let their size fool you. the space at space is effortlessly cool and truly makes you feel like you’re getting coffee in a big city. i wasnt the biggest fan of their coffee, but that’s a personal preference as i tend to not like the koatji x espresso combo. however, their strawberry matcha was delicious!

lumen recently opened up their second location in frogtown. they share the space with @karmir.la film lab. and while the design is eye catching and the space itself is quite large, it was jammed packed with people on laptops. (so if you’re looking for a place to work out of, i’d suggest coming early). this is definitely a cool new edition to the area, but personally, i wasn’t blown away by the drinks. i did really enjoy looking at all the photos on the walls though.
