I am proud of my collaboration with West Valley Homes, Yes (WVHY) and our efforts to actively address the rise in RV encampments across our district by expediting the removal of these vehicles and placing individuals into housing. Our approach focuses on finding real solutions rather than merely relocating these issues into other neighborhoods. Since late November of 2022, we've removed 68 vehicles and housed 99 individuals, making significant progress on an effort which is becoming the model to our approach citywide. Recently, my team collaborated with @wvhyoutreach, the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, and Los Angeles Sanitation to successfully house an individual and remove an RV in Sylmar near the intersection of Foothill Blvd. and Roxford St. This ongoing program not only assists those seeking housing but also tackles the challenges posed by RV dwellings and their associated issues. To report vehicle dwellings, I ask that you email me at [email protected] or contact any of my district offices: Sylmar District Office (818) 756-8409, Pacoima District Office (818) 485-0600, or Sunland-Tujunga District Office (818) 352-3287. #TransformationTuesday #CD7RVPilotProgram #RealSolutions #RVEncampments #LADOT #WVHY #LASanitation #TeamMRod

Help us protect our community by slowing down and staying alert in these zones! #LADOT #SafeStreetsLA #backtoschool
LA bus riders need bus shelters, what they got was...La Sombrita. Shade at bus stops is a political problem, not a design problem — $30 million in funding for bus shelters is stalled in the bureaucracy. LADOT’s ‘don’t poop on buses’ campaign takes bizarre twist The plop thickens. Los Angeles Department of Transportation has scrapped a video campaign begging passengers not to poop on city buses. Officials pulled the six clips from YouTube and its website and claimed they were never meant to be made public. A link to the originals now reads: “This channel doesn’t have any content.” LADOT, Los Angeles buses, public transit fail, don't poop on buses, viral campaign, government waste, California news, metro fail, deleted videos, cringe campaign #LADOT #LosAngeles #PublicTransit #GovernmentFail #ViralVideo #DeletedScenes #CaliforniaNews #MetroFail #TaxpayerWaste #CringeCampaign
