The LIGHT LAB at The Museum of Science and Industry Today we visited the MOSI to check out their current event The Light Lab. This FREE event is for all ages, with immersive learning activities and illuminating, interactive learning opportunities! My children are 3 and 5 and they loved it 🥰 My youngest can become extremely dysregulated in busy public areas, he thrives off constant stimulation so this event was perfect for him! The wide array of lights and sounds and the ability to roam around freely trying everything at his own pace worked a treat. (For children who struggle with sound there are lots of free ear defenders available to use) We spent around an hour and a half here, it’s not a huge area but you can take as long as you want using the many different pieces of equipment, experiments and experiences, it’s something to enjoy! We spent lots of time making shadow puppets and playing with the story board! If you haven’t been to the MOSI before, there are a number of number of other floors and the sections to visit. I’ve included a few clips from our favourite zone! We spent around 3 hours and also used the picnic area for lunch. There is quite a lot of construction work currently taking place so there are a number of building closed, however as mentioned there is still lots to do! 💡💡💡this event ENDS on Saturday 4th January 💡💡💡 📍Science and Industry Museum Liverpool Road Manchester M3 4FP Travel information ⏱️OPENING TIMES Museum: 10.00–17.00 daily Café: 08.00–17.00 Monday – Friday, 09.30–17.00 Saturdays and Sundays #familydays #daysoutwithkidsuk #freedaysout #family #manchester #northwestdaysout #museum #mosi #museumofscienceandindustry #lightlab #sensoryplay #lights #scienceandindustrymuseum

🚨 NEW in Kansas City! 🚨 A $1-MILLION expansion just opened at Union Station, and it’s a must-see for kids & families! 🙌 Say hello to the brand-new Light Lab at Science City — and wow, it’s next-level fun 🤩 The coolest part? It was designed by kids, for kids! 👏 (AD) Did you know @sciencecitykc @unionstationkc and @burnsmcdonnell are major champions of STEM education in KC? Through their Battle of the Brains competition, local schools can win BIG to support STEM programs. 💡💰 My son was so excited to participate in this at school, and one of his best friends was actually on the winning team that helped create Light Lab! 🙌 Just imagine the impact of kids seeing their creative ideas brought to life — to inspire and educate others. 💫 Inside Light Lab, learning feels like play! 🧪 Kids can crawl through a laser maze, design light art, and so much more. As a mom, I LOVE that we can spend hours at Science City. 🎟️ Totally worth the price of admission — it’s screen-free fun where my kids are learning and burning energy! When my boys were younger, we couldn’t get enough of the toddler play zone, dino fossil digging, and water play 💦 Now that they’re older, they’re all about: ✨ Light Lab 🚲 SkyBike 🤖 Riveting Robots ♟️ Outdoor chess 💨 The zipline! And don’t sleep on the Arvin Gottlieb Planetarium — it’s truly one of KC’s gems! 🌌 We’ve loved it at every stage — from Big Bird’s Adventure, to Magic Tree House: Space Mission, and now Stargaze Kansas City — a live, seasonal star tour that even my big kids enjoyed. 💫 Pro tip: Line up 15 mins early to grab one of those giant bean bags! 😉 Whether you’ve got littles, tweens, or teens, Science City at Union Station is the ultimate family outing. 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 SHARE this with your KC friends looking for something fun + educational to do! 💛 #kansascity #thingstodoinkansascity #kcwithkids #unionstationkc #familyfunkc #kcadventures #midwestmomlife

Can you guess who is the signer behind the animated character? :) To view the whole “Dimensons” film by @motionlightlab Motion Light Lab - check them out for full version. [Animated video of an elderly black woman with grey dreadlocks, sitting on a white chair, reciting a story.]

Hi everyone, I’m Evet — the founder and proud owner of LightLab. ✨ I was born in Syria and moved to Brooklyn at the age of 14. After getting married and later going through a divorce, I found myself at a turning point. That chapter in my life, while challenging, gave me the strength and clarity to finally take a leap and start LightLab. LightLab is a woman-run business rooted in resilience, creativity, and an unshakable love for design. What began as a vision has become a space where I channel both passion and purpose — creating environments that feel as good as they look. I’m so excited to finally introduce myself and share the face behind the name. Thank you for being part of this journey — we’re just getting started. 💡
