For the first time in decades, the Benjamin Franklin Bridge will close to vehicle traffic, giving the public the rare opportunity to walk across one of our region’s most iconic landmarks as it celebrates its 100th birthday. The free celebration takes place Saturday, July 11 from 10am to 2:30pm and will feature live music, food trucks, carnival rides, family-friendly activities, a pop-up museum with historic bridge artifacts, and incredible views from the bridge itself. Whether you’re a history buff, photographer, or just want to say you walked the Ben, this is one event you won’t want to miss. After you walk the bridge the celebration is on the @mydowntowncamden side by the toll plaza.
