WERBUNG | Was für eine Mutter möchte ich sein? Kurz vor Muttertag denke ich daran, was meine Mama mir mitgegeben hat. Sie war nicht perfekt, das bin ich auch nicht. Das müssen wir als Mütter auch nicht sein. Viel mehr geht es doch um das, was wir mitgeben: Ich erinnere mich, wie wir Radtouren über die Felder und Urlaub in fernen Ländern und aufregenden Städten gemacht haben. Meine Mutter hat mir im Großen und im Kleinen die Welt gezeigt und meine Liebe zu den schönen Dingen des Lebens geprägt, sei es zeitlose Mode, bedeutende Kunst oder gutes Essen. Später hat sie mir ordentlich Wind unter die Flügel gepustet, damit ich mich aus dem Nest traue. Ich habe nie aufgehört, sie zu vermissen, weil ich bei ihr immer ich selbst sein kann. Und deshalb will ich auch nicht so sehr eine coole Mum sein, sondern vor allem: eine liebevolle Mum, die prägt. So wie meine. Die Muttertags-Edition gibt’s jetzt bei @landsend.  After getting the sleeper train from London to Penzance, here’s what we got up to on our Cornish Weekend away! ⬇️ 🚂 Arrived in Penzance at 0750
 🎒 Dropped off bags at our hotel - more on that down below! 🍳 Breakfast at Front Room (great food and such lovely staff) 🚎 Land’s End Coaster time! 🏖 First stop - Porthcurno. One of the nicest beaches I’ve seen in the UK 🗾 Second stop - Land’s End. Not much to see but good to say you’ve done it, ya know. 🥾 Walk along the South West Coast Path to Sennen Cove 🍺 Some lovely pubs in Sennen Cove - we went to the Old Success Inn - and then grabbed some Fish and Chips from Blue Lagoon 🚍 Back on the bus to St. Just which is CUTE but we only had 10 minutes until we swapped over to the ‘Tin Coaster’ bus which gets you back to Penzance in 18 mins - and is included in your Day Pass 🏩 Checked into Artist Residence Penzance. I have been LUSTING over these hotels for years and so James’ birthday felt like a great excuse. They upgraded us!! And for those asking, I didn’t use my upgrade template but I had been in contact with them about dropping bags off, etc. and so had mentioned we were celebrating a birthday. 🐟 Dinner at 45 Queen Street - great vibe and amazing food. What do you reckon about paying a tip at a place where you seat yourself, get your own cutlery and go and order at the bar? 🍹 Finishing off with a spicy mango margarita at Artist Residence. Don’t get me wrong, £11 is a lot for a cocktail but it was BANGING. Hit follow to see what we get up to on Day 2! 📣 COMMENT IF… You have any recommendations for the Penzance area!
