Back in 1992 @leftfieldmusic gathered at Masterpiece Studios to have their fourth single cut by the one and only Geoff Pesche. Before Geoff arrived at Abbey Road in 2006, he cut his teeth at a handful of different studios including Masterpiece where he cut Leftfield’s ‘Song Of Life’. @superprogressive recently unearthed a rare video of the session where you can hear Barnes, Daley and Geoff deciding whether the vinyl should be 33 or 45 rpm, as well as the catalogue number which ended up as HAND 002T on Leftfield’s Hard Hands label. Before the electronic duo signed to Columbia Records, they mastered all their 12” singles with Geoff. #leftfield #geoffpesche #thesongoflife #mastering #cutting #AbbeyRoad
