Most people think a lemonade stand teaches kids how to make a few dollars. But that’s not really the point. 🍋 It teaches them how to: • talk to strangers with confidence • handle money and practice real-life math • experience delayed gratification • solve problems in real time • work as a team When my boys started, they were both trying to do the same task… bumping into each other and getting frustrated. But within minutes they figured it out. One got the cup. One handled the money. They found their rhythm. Right now they both have some pretty big purchases on their minds, so they’re also learning another important skill: saving. Sometimes the smallest “business” lessons turn into the biggest life lessons. And honestly… starting a little business might be one of childhood’s best rites of passage. 🍋#raisingentrepreneurs #kidbusiness #lemonadestand #raisingboys #childhoodskills

Here are three things my kids have learned since working a lemonade business! 1.) Customer service - Making small talk is still a work in progress, but it gets better every time! 2.) Teamwork - If they don’t get along or if they start acting up, they get fired for that shift. 3.) Money management - Not only do they take orders and work the POS system, they get paid. Today is the day! Family, friends, and community please come by today between 5-6pm to support our kids ages 5-14 lemonade stands. The goal of this project is to teach our kids about entrepreneurship. They are ready to provide great customer service and great tasting lemonade. All donations go 100% to the kids, from your pocket to theirs. Come show them some love!

Quite a few winners walked away with a FREE lemonade! 🎉 Today I took on a little more responsibility while letting the CFOs take a small break (Hey, even executives need a day off 😅).
