Let the Right one in is a vampire movie” is undercutting brilliance as grossly as calling The grave of fireflies a war movie. There is no doubt that this movie is about a an uncontrollable blood sucking creature but it is more about the profound exploration of youth and innocence. Oscar, a troubled child of divorced parents and Eli, a 12 ear old vampire found companionship in each other when the world around them couldn’t provide it to them. When Oskar gets beaten up by bullies at school and he comes and shares it with Eli on a snow covered bench, she asks him to “hit hard”, and when Eli asks Oskar that will he like him if she is not a girl and he says “Maybe”. Officially finished my first hidden fore-edge book painting! I re-binded this one myself, folks. Everything is hand-made and custom designed from the cover to the end pages. I have learned so much (and messed up a ton of times
