Do I leave for what might be or stay for what could have been? Neither are easy questions to answer and choosing one over the other may always leave you wondering about the other. And sometimes you just need to make the choice and take the leap to see what’s next.
Part of me feels like I failed. That it didn’t work, that my job wasn’t right, that I made a mistake, that I wanted more. Another part of me feels I just started to figure it all out. To build community, learn who I am here, what my hobbies are, and my favorite corners of this place.
Seven months later I find myself moving. Again. And neither of these have been easy or small moves by any means.
Part of me hopes this next move is my last. That I settle down and grow roots. Another part of me wonders if I will ever find the place that truly feels like home. I assume when you know, you know. But I feel a part of me will always crave a little bit of somewhere else.
There’s something incredibly frustrating about gaining weight in your 40s. Not because you’ve stopped caring about your health… but because the things that used to work suddenly don’t.
This client came to us at 44 after gaining 8kg over the past year. Between medication, running a business with her husband, raising her daughter and managing a long-term prolapsed disc injury, she felt like her body had quietly changed the rules.
She had always been strong (she even used to train with the fire brigade and was someone who genuinely enjoyed being in the gym) but life, injury and hormones had gradually knocked her routine off track.
And like so many women in their 40s, the harder she tried to “fix it”, the more frustrating it became.
On It’s So Simple, we focus on rebuilding a structure that actually works for this stage of life:
✔ Balanced meals that keep her full and satisfied
✔ Training that builds strength without aggravating her back
✔ Real accountability and support when motivation dips
The result?
She’s already 5kg down, her bloating has disappeared and she’s finally enjoying the process again instead of constantly fighting her body.
💬 In her words:
“Losing weight in your 40s is so different to your 20s… ISS understands that. The accountability and support have completely changed things for me.”
If you’re in your 40s and feel like your body has suddenly changed the rules, it’s not that you’ve lost discipline. You simply need a strategy that actually works for this stage of life.
Stop waiting for the “right time”… it doesn’t come. If you knew exactly what to do and how to stay consistent, you would have done it already. If you’re ready to make a change, drop me a message and let’s get you started.

Sometimes you just know something has to change, even before you fully believe you can handle it 🥺
The move to Dubai was never part of the plan
Neither was a forced rebrand
Yet both arrived when I felt quietly stuck, craving more but unsure how to move forward ✨
Leaving home, rebuilding a brand, and stepping into the unknown has stretched me in ways I did not expect
It has been uncomfortable, emotional, and at times overwhelming ❤️🩹
At the same time, it has shown me that growth often asks for faith before certainty
This feels like the in between
Letting go of what was, while learning to trust what comes next ✨

PLS READ THIS, I AM BEGGING OF YOU!
Okay sorry for yelling, but I really think you need to hear this🫶 This time of year means your scroll is being spammed with lock in, grind time, reset, fresh start content. And because you’re feeling a little lost, a whole lot of out of routine, and unsure of what’s next for you, it’s so tempting to listen to the advice.
But if you’re coming out of burnout or adjusting to a life altering change, a huge life overhaul is actually the last thing you need. You need to
• have grace with yourself
• take time to learn and listen to your needs
• give yourself time to adjust
• take it one day at a time
Your experience is real and it is human. Find the voices sharing from the same lived experience, not an aesthetic ideal

We were out till 5am, running on no sleep, saying yes to everything, never wanting to miss a moment.
Work at 7am? Still went. No questions asked.
Now it’s water, early nights, long walks, maybe a marathon if we’re feeling ambitious.
I’m not saying we did it right or wrong..
but I know we lived fully.
The energy, the chaos, the memories… you just had to be there.
Any Millennials feel this shift?

One foot in the old life.
One foot in the new life.
And then we’re shocked we’re doing the splits emotionally.

You may have known a version of me but you don’t know the woman I am today.
I’m not ashamed of my past because it’s a part of my testimony. Every chapter shaped my life and taught me something I needed to learn.
I wouldn’t change a thing - not the mistakes, not the lessons, not even the hard seasons .. God used every bit of it to grow me.
While I’ll always have a place in my heart for that version of Lex because she’s part of my story .. I don’t know her anymore either. Growth, grace, and time have a way of changing you - I’m grateful for the woman God is shaping today🤍

Some days I go into a workout feeling strong and motivated. On other days I arrive tired, distracted or with a lot on my mind… but I still pick up the weights.
Not because every session feels amazing but because I’ve leart that consistency isn’t built on the days you feel your best. It’s built on the days when showing up would have been very easy to skip.
And without fail, I always feel better afterwards.
