The epic Light Night Leeds is BACK on October 22nd and 23rd! ✨ The city-wide light spectacular will take place a day earlier than usual - on the Wednesday and Thursday this year instead of Thursday and Friday 🙌 You can expect the whole of Leeds city centre and beyond to be lit up by stunning light art, projection displays and street performances - from Leeds Dock all the way up to the University of Leeds. As ever, there are dozens of brand new light art installations - with awe inspiring displays, immersive works and plenty of family friendly fun! 🌃 Be sure to book ahead if you’re planning to stay over in the city for Light Night - and check out the @lightnightleeds website closer to the time for details on all the zones! Adult Community Class members of RJC Dance and Mango Arts Winning @leedswestindiancarnival Carnival Troupe ‘BANYAN’ bought a spectacular Carnival performance to the University Zone of Light Night. The costumes, designed by @rkm_mangoarts in collaboration @drbrionythomas and University of Leeds Mechanical Engineerining Department illuminated Leeds town centre to bring unmatched energy and vibes! Thank you Professor Briony Thomas, Rhian Kempadoo Millar, Tracey Pinder, Mango Arts Creative Team, Graham Brown, Hardy Whiteley-Boocock, James Watkins, Kacper Dobras, Rhys Moore, Rhys Smith, Ross Taylor, Dj Sensation and of course the superb spectators who came out to support and joined in on the soca party! 🎉 Until next time 🤩🔥🎉🦋 Investors: @universityofleeds, Sapling Fund with thanks to Leeds Arts and Humanities research, @aceagrams @leedscouncil
