DISCLAIMER!!!
obviously this is not the only lens you will ever need. i shoot A LOT of small 200-400 cap shows in small venues, bars, etc and this lens has quickly become my holy grail! there have been many shows where this is the only lens i use, hence “the only lens you will ever need”!!
FOR THE MANUAL FOCUS
you need to evaluate how far away your subjects usually are. mine are roughly 3-6 feet away from me so that is why i put the range focus just past 3 ft. if you want the super up close look, you will have to move the focus to reflect that. when i set it just past 3 ft, im able to zoom in A LOT on an image and it is usually clear and in focus throughout the whole image which is pretty dope too
THIS TAKES PRACTICE TO PERFECT just like any photography technique!! all in all this lens was such a good investment, i’ve used it for probably 30-50 shows at this point it’s so fun and the variety that you get with just one lens is so awesome.
