Because somewhere along the journey, you stop trying to look like everybody else. You stop needing permission to love what makes you different. You learn to trust the process, embrace every stage and become more comfortable being fully seen as yourself. The locs are beautiful. But becoming more YOU? That’s the real flex. #sisterlocks #sisterlockedandlovingit #locqueen #loclove #locnation

My one year loc-a-versary is on deck and we were feeling pretty good about it. Then, as if I need something ELSE humbling me these days, another ginger (loc ) popped off. It actually just fell out and cascaded down my chest. Almost landed right in my hand. • To be clear, I’m fairly confident this is “user error”. I find gentleness when my hands are in my hair to be quite difficult. I find my hands in my hair MUCH too often. Working on that. Trust the process! • For context… my edges seemed to take issue with my geriatric (35+ yrs old🤦🏾‍♀️) pregnancy and decided they had done what they came to do. They dismissed themselves soon after I last gave birth. Thus, we weren’t working with much here from installation. All of my locs requiring reattachment have been at or adjacent to my edges. • All that said - I NEED IT TO STOP. As we approach my one year milestone, I am keeping all manner of hope alive. My locs are flourishing and will continue - despite my interference . • I shall not be moved. We shall overcome. One loc, one re-tie at a time. ✊🏾 #MicrolocsJourney #TinyLocs #WomenLocs #WomenLocStyles #LocLife #LocLiving #Microlocs #LocdQueen #Locd #LocdUp #LocBae #Locaversary #LocLove #FixIt #FixItJesus
