History in the making 🎙️ T-Mite is dropping what we believe is the first known recorded song out of Santa Barbara County Jail, stamped in 2008 by Lompoc’s own. There’s been talk about a Lompoc rapper named Stixxx doing it first, but we haven’t been able to locate the track. If you have it, let us know. Recording from behind bars isn’t new, legends paved the way. From Lead Belly recording songs while incarcerated in the early 1900s, to Jah Cure turning prison recordings into international hits, all the way to Mac Dre bringing that raw energy into hip-hop. This is part of a long tradition of turning confinement into creativity. I pulled up to @jalamabeachstore after a full surf day. Hair still salty, sand everywhere and starving. This is one of those 805 spots you don’t just stumble into… you actually have to want it. Long, winding road out past Lompoc, no signal, just ocean and time. I got the Jalama Burger, classic, messy, and yeah… that sauce is why it’s iconic. Also ordered the tri-tip sandwich, thick, smoky slices with BBQ sauce, super filling and exactly what I needed after being out in the sun all day. And clam chowder because it gets cold out there fast… and this just hits every time. Simple food, right place, right time… it just works. @explore_lompoc #805 #805living #805foodie #lompoc #surf

Took a “drive” down our dirt road this morning to check out the damage. We may not be driving down this road in a truck anytime soon but we are all safe and the animals are as well. 💚 We got about 10 inches in 24 hours which is something we have never seen before. Thank you to all the rescue workers who helped so many in our county. 💚 #rain #ranchosanjulian #rancherlife #rainydays☔️ #weareallsafe #allsafe #centralcoast #california #santabarbara #lompoc #rancher
