BLACK OWNED RESTAURANTS 📍LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA! • Family, who knew @visitlb had such a rich and thriving Black community , who filled our soul and our stomachs! Here are just a few Black owned restaurants you can support while visiting • 1. @Devis.donuts the BEST vegan donuts I’ve ever had! 🍩 • 2. @Roscoesofficial ! Now I know we all know and love this popular restaurant, but did you know the Long Beach location was the first to open? I love Roscoe’s! And there’s nothing like the Roscoe’s experience! Throughout the restaurant there is a display of Black art and they call it Roscoe’s “off the wall” because you can purchase it! On the other side of the restaurant is a Jazz Lounge with live music on the weekends. Stay tuned for new Roscoe’s locations carrying the tradition in other parts of Cali soon! 🍗 🧇 • 3. When it comes to Gumbo, I leave that to my family in Louisiana, but @salsgumboshack has the Gumbo and Creole food ON LOCK! With two locations in Long Beach, Mayor @Rexrichardsonlb said I can’t leave without having some. 📍 Storm Burger — North Long Beach If you know North Long Beach… you already know THIS spot. Storm Burger just opened and the line is already wrapping around the block. Cars stacked up, people dancing to old school jams in line, and the whole community showing up for bad ass burgers, chicken tenders, and sides. The burgers are obvious, but do not sleep on the rest. I especially loved the chicken tenders, fries, and homemade sauces. Some people even saw a lady dancing her heart out to an old Bobby Brown hit while waiting for her order. (Okay, it was me 😆.) It’s.
