It’s a girl! A special moment for Excision and his wife, Emma, as they celebrated with a gender reveal on the final night of Lost Lands.
Joining us on the podcast today is Graeme Duffy, better known as @phaseoneau — an Australian producer, guitarist, and songwriter whose hybrid of aggressive bass music and heavy metal has carved out a unique space in the global electronic scene. Often described as a symphony of filth, his sound balances high-intensity drops with the structure and musicality of metalcore.
From his early days in Sydney’s metal scene to producing full-time and touring globally, Graeme has taken the PhaseOne project to sold-out headline shows and major festivals like Lost Lands, Rampage, Tomorrowland, and EDC. He recently released his sophomore LP, TERRANOVA — a cinematic concept album that expands on his vision with storytelling, world-building, and raw intensity.
In this episode, we talk about the origins of the project, how he navigates the performance pressures of social media, and his plans to bring PhaseOne to the stage as a full live band.
