You’ll find sushi, sea food, Chinese, Thai and Japanese dishes all under the same roof. Here’s what we loved: ▪️The grill and malatang station was our favorite part- so many fresh ingredients and different ways to customize your plate or soup. ▪️There was never a shortage of sushi and it was all super fresh. Also a ton of variety. ▪️So many soda, eat, juice, coffee options - there are huge coolers and everything’s included. ▪️The steamed baskets were constantly being swapped out with new items ranging from sticky rice and chicken feet to all kinds of dumplings. ▪️Not shown here but they also had multiple soups and congee. ▪️The dessert section had so much variety plus the added bonus of the chocolate fountain. ▪️There is SO much space here plus several smaller rooms that would be great for celebrations/gatherings ▪️Families: they also have a great section of kids foods! 🍽️ Return visit after 2 years – Star Buffet Canberra @ Burns Club 💰 Weekday lunch from just $25.80 – great value for families! This place is known for its affordable pricing, but it’s super popular. Definitely book online in advance! 🔺Even with a booking, expect to queue to pay – and beware of queue-cutters 🥲. Pro tip: 💵 cash line moves faster. 🅿️ Parking is right outside but fills up fast, so come early! This buffet is part of the same group as Sydney’s Star Buffet. Compared to Sydney, refill speed here is much better – we stayed from 7:30 to 9pm and dessert trays were still full! 🍣 Food variety covers Chinese, Western, and Japanese. Chinese dishes were the best, and dessert choices were surprisingly plentiful. Sushi has improved – with decent salmon and tuna sashimi. 🍣 ❤️ Personal faves: Pumpkin soup 🥣, mussels 🦪, prawns with zucchini 🦐, fried noodles 🍜, satay chicken 🍗, and desserts like cheesecake 🍰, tiramisu, macarons 🌈, and egg tarts 🥧. My husband loved the mussels, prawns, roast beef, and lamb chops – said the meats were tender and tasty 👍. 🤔 Some misses: skewers and roast meats looked good but were dry and bland. 👧 Kids’ picks: sushi 🍣, pizza 🍕, watermelon 🍉, macarons 🌈, cotton candy 🍧, and ice cream 🍨. 📌 Overall: Excellent value! Plenty of variety, something for everyone. Staff were friendly and some spoke Cantonese 👏.
